When aged 14, Garo was one of the founder members of 5B4ES, (English School in Nicosia, Cyprus) and he has been a Radio Amateur for over 30 years. Currently licensed as G0PZA in the UK, he is an active HF contester and loves CW. Recent DX-peditions include operating as/from A45ZN, ZC4DX, 5B4/G0PZA, CT1/G0PZA and 9H0WW. As the Chairman of the Whitton ARG, he is keen to attract more young people into the hobby.
Garo is a Chartered Accountant by profession, engaged in Business Development in International Telephony. He lives in Sunbury on Thames and is married and has triplet sons.
